Presa germană vorbește despre noua turnură a politicii de azil, în urma pasului înapoi făcut de Angela Merkel pentru salvarea coaliției de guvernare dintre creștin-democrați și social-creștinii bavarezi conduși de Seehofer. Acesta a anunțat aseară că-și va păstra funcția, după ce duminică amenințase cu demisia, nemulțumit de concluziile Consiliului European de săptămâna trecută pe tema migrației.
”Înţelegerea cuprinde trei puncte şi nu este clar de ce nu a putut fi realizată până acum”, remarcă, pe bună dreptate, Deutsche Welle. Acordul prevede înființarea unor centre de tranzit la granița germano-austriacă pentru solicitanții de azil care sunt deja înregistrați într-un alt stat european. În această situație se găsesc cei mai mulți migranți de pe teritoriul Germaniei. Din aceste centre, ei vor trimiși înapoi în țările în care și-au înregistrat prezența în UE, acestea fiind de regulă Grecia sau Italia. Dacă aceste state îi refuză, ”respingerea migranţilor se va face direct la graniţa germano-austriacă, pe baza unei convenţii special încheiate între Germania şi Austria”, conform textului convenit aseară.
Guvernul austriac, la rândul său, a prevenit că, dacă Berlinul decide trimiterea migranților în țara prin care au pătruns pe teritoriul german, Viena va lua, la rândul său, o măsură similară. ”Cu riscul unui efect de domino în Europa”, subliniază ”Le Monde”.
”Le Figaro” precizează că Horst Seehofer dorea inițial trimiterea directă peste graniță a migranților, centrele de tranzit reprezentând o concesie din partea sa. Cotidianul francez amintește că ideea acestor centre datează din 2015, când, în momentul de vârf al fluxului de migranți, social-democrații, aflați și atunci la putere alături de Merkel, au respins opțiunea ”închisorilor în aer liber”, cum le-au numit. De această dată, cel mai probabil le vor accepta, în calitatea lor de aliat minor la guvernare.
