Lituania a finalizat gardul la granița cu Belarus

Lituania a finalizat construcția unui gard de 502 km lungime și patru metri înălțime, din sârmă ghimpată, de-a lungul graniței sale cu Belarus, în încercarea de a împiedica migrația ilegală din țara vecină.

Serviciul de Grăniceri al Lituaniei a declarat că polițiștii de frontieră din Belarus continuă să transporte migranți la granița comună. Lituania acuză guvernul de la Minsk de trafic de migranți, pentru a face presiuni asupra Uniunii Europene.

Aproape 4.200 de migranți ilegali au trecut în Lituania din Belarus anul trecut, majoritatea fiind din Orientul Mijlociu și Africa. Polițiștii de frontieră lituanieni au respins, ulterior, peste 13.000 de persoane din 3 august 2021, de când au primit instrucțiuni să nu permită migranților să intre în țară.

Sâmbăta trecută, poliţiştii de frontieră lituanieni au respins intrarea a 125 de migranţi, cel mai mare număr de la începutul anului. Poliţiştii de frontieră lituanieni îi acuză pe omologii lor belaruşi că îi ajută pe migranţi să intre în Lituania și că încearcă crearea de breșe în gardul de sârmă ghimpată.

Și Polonia a finalizat, în iunie, ridicarea unui gard similar la granița sa cu Belarus.
