Finlanda va deveni, mâine, cel de-al 31-lea stat membru al NATO şi steagul finlandez va fi ridicat pentru prima dată la sediul organizaţiei, a anunţat secretarul general al NATO, Jens Stoltenberg.

El a precizat că arborarea steagului Finlandei la sediul NATO din Bruxelles va avea loc marţi, în cadrul unei ceremonii care va avea loc la ora 15.00.

„Toţi suntem de acord că aderarea Suediei trebuie să aibă loc rapid”, a spus Stoltenberg, referindu-se la cealaltă ţară nordică care a făcut cerere de aderare, dar aceasta nu a fost ratificată de două state membre, Turcia şi Ungaria.
