Putin nu va participa la funeraliile lui Gorbaciov

Funeraliile ultimului lider sovietic, Mihail Gorbaciov, care s-a stins din viață la spital, în noaptea de marţi spre miercuri, se vor desfăşura sâmbătă. Kremlinul a anunțat că Vladimir Putin nu va participa, din cauza agendei, dar liderul rus s-a recules joi, la sicriul lui Gorbaciov, la spitalul din Moscova unde acesta a încetat din viață.

Ceremonia funerară va avea loc în Sala Coloanelor a Casei Sindicatelor din Moscova, care este rezervată personalităţilor ilustre. Tot acolo a fost depus şi trupul lui Stalin, la moartea acestuia în anul 1953, iar mai înainte şi fondatorul URSS, Vladimir Ilici Lenin, a avut funeraliile în acelaşi loc.

Ultimul politician rus a cărui ceremonie funerară a fost organizată în acea sală este Vladimir Jirinovski, decedat anul acesta în aprilie.

Mihail Gorbaciov va fi înmormântat alături de soţia sa, Raisa, decedată în anul 1999, înmormântarea având loc sâmbătă, la cimitirul Novodevici din Moscova.

Zeci de politicieni de rang înalt, scriitori şi intelectuali ruşi sunt înmormântaţi în acest cimitir creat în secolul al XVI-lea, printre ei fiind şi Boris Elţîn, primul preşedinte al Rusiei după destrămarea URSS şi rival al lui Mihail Gorbaciov. Însă, dintre preşedinţii sovietici, Nikita Hruşciov este singurul înmormântat acolo, majoritatea odihnindu-se între zidurile Kremlinului.
