Fake news – un pericol la adresa democrației

Forumul Europolis organizează conferința cu tema ”Fake news – un pericol la adresa democrației”, în parteneriat cu Comisia pentru Afaceri Europene a Camerei Deputaților.

Miercuri, 5 iunie, între orele 9 și 12, în sala de ședințe a comisiei, vor analiza riscurile pe care le implică dezinformarea pentru sistemul democratic specialiști de prestigiu din mediul universitar, politic, jurnalistic și cibernetic:

  • univ. dr. Alina Bârgăoanu, decanul Facultății de Comunicare și Relații Publice din cadrul SNSPA, expert în cadrul Grupului la nivel înalt al Comisiei Europene pentru combaterea ştirilor false, autor al cărții ”#Fakenews. Noua cursă a înarmării”;
  • univ. dr. Dan Dungaciu, directorul Institutului de Știinţe Politice și Relaţii Internaţionale al Academiei Române, coordonatorul Laboratorului pentru Analiza Războiului Informaţional și Comunicare Strategică (LARICS) și al Masterului de Studii de Securitate și Analiza Informațiilor de la Facultatea de Sociologie a Universităţii din București;
  • univ. dr. Antonio Momoc, director al Departamentului de Antropologie culturală şi Comunicare – Facultatea de Jurnalism și Științele Comunicării de la Universitatea din București;
  • jurnalistul Ion M. Ioniță, senior-editor al ziarului ”Adevărul” şi redactor-şef al revistei Historia”;
  • deputatul Angel Tîlvăr, președintele Comisiei pentru Afaceri Europene a Camerei Deputaților;
  • deputata Oana Florea, membră a Comisiei pentru exercitarea controlului parlamentar asupra activităţii SRI;
  • europarlamentarul Ramona Mănescu;
  • Cristian Lungu, specialist în securitate cibernetică.

Vor participa studenți în Jurnalism, Comunicare și Sociologie de la Universitatea din București și Școala Națională de Studii Politice și Administrative.

”Europolis – platformă de promovare a valorilor europene și democratice – propune societății românești o campanie de conștientizare a pericolelor pe care le implică dezinformarea în epoca digitală, la adresa alegerilor libere, a democrației funcționale și a valorilor fundamentale ale Uniunii Europene. România este, geopolitic și ca expertiză, în prima linie a frontului anti-fake news.

În special în contextul anilor electorali pe care-i traversăm se impune o acțiune de informare și sensibilizare la scară largă a publicului românesc în legătură cu vulnerabilitățile existente și acțiunile întreprinse, precum și cu responsabilitățile ce ne revin fiecăruia dintre noi. Combaterea fake news nu este doar obligația specialiștilor, ci și datoria cetățenilor. Fake news reprezintă un fenomen care ne amenință pe toți”, consideră Horia Blidaru, moderatorul conferinței și coordonatorul Europolis.

Între temele ce vor fi dezbătute se află:
