Preşedintele rus Vladimir Putin a declarat luni că extinderea NATO către Finlanda şi Suedia nu este o problemă pentru Rusia, cu excepţia cazului în care ea va include şi desfăşurarea de trupe străine pe teritoriul acestor ţări.
”Rusia nu are probleme cu aceste ţări, întrucât intrarea lor în NATO nu creează o ameninţare”, a spus Putin la summitul Organizaţiei Tratatului de Securitate Colectivă (OTSC). Dar președintele rus a atras atenţia în continuare că dacă această extindere a NATO va fi însoţită de amplasarea de ”infrastructuri militare” pe teritoriul Finlandei şi al Suediei, atunci Rusia va fi nevoită să reacţioneze.
”Desfăşurarea de infrastructuri militare pe teritoriile acestor ţări va antrena evident un răspuns” din partea Rusiei, a indicat Putin, transmit agenţiile internaționale de presă, preluate de Agerpres. „Care va fi acest răspuns, vom vedea în funcție de ce ameninţări sunt create pentru noi”, a precizat președintele rus.
La summitul OTSC – organizaţie ce reuneşte Rusia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazahstan, Kârgâzstan şi Tadjikistan -numai Belarusul a susţinut ofensiva rusă contra Ucrainei, ceilalţi participanţi păstrând tăcerea pe acest subiect.
